The Mainstay Foundation launched the first edition of The Muslim Convention with the aim of Connecting Shia Muslims in the UK.

The theme for the first year was ‘In Search of a Homeland, A Quest for an Identity’ and it aimed to address contemporary and relevant issues relating to Shia Muslims living in the West, and specifically the UK.

The event hosted more than 20 professional speakers, 5 world renowned reciters and more than 500 attendees. The Convention consisted of 2 main sessions, workshops and a Grand Celebration for the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family).

The Muslim Convention’s first year proved to be a success and gave the opportunity to Shia Muslims from across the UK to meet, network and benefit from the content being delivered.
